Reporting directly to the President, the Provost and Vice-President, Academic (VPA) will provide visionary leadership for all of the University’s academic activities, including faculty recruitment, retention and promotion; attracting and retaining excellent students; enrolment management; graduate and undergraduate program development and assessment; student life; academic budget and space allocation; library resources; and strategic planning. The Provost and VPA will set academic strategy and priorities and will foster an environment that promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion and enables students, staff, and faculty to excel. The Provost and VPA also takes a leading role in maintaining and building the University’s national and international reputation. The appointment is for a renewable five-year term.

You have an open and collegial style, outstanding management, communication and interpersonal skills, a creative approach to problem solving, the capacity to build and sustain positive working relationships with academic and administrative units, and the ability to inspire dedicated faculty and staff.
